The Israeli High Court dismissed a petition filed by the Shas party after a planned three-day memorial conference for Rabbi Ovadia Yosef was canceled. The event had been scheduled for October 6-8 at Jerusalem’s International Convention Center.

Ovadia Yosef served as Sephardi Chief Rabbi and was the longtime spiritual leader of the Shas movement.
