PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: September 8, 2026

AllIsrael.chat ("we," "us") operates a pro-Israel news aggregator at allisrael.chat, and a Chrome toolbar extension that shows the current leads from that site. This policy describes what we collect, who processes it, and how long it is kept. You can read the site without an account. An account is required only for Pro features. The extension does not require an account.

What we collect

  • Usage, analytics, and session recordings. We use PostHog and Vercel Analytics to understand traffic, page views, and feature usage. PostHog records your session: the pages you view (including any search terms in the page address), your clicks, scrolls, mouse movement, and the content displayed on screen. It also collects click and scroll heatmaps, browser console logs, and your IP address, from which an approximate location is derived. Your Ask AI conversations are masked out of these recordings. Your questions, the answers, and your voice transcript are hidden in your browser before anything is sent, so we cannot see what you asked. Session recordings are kept for 30 days. Analytics events are kept for up to 84 months.
  • Ask AI, text. Your question is sent to our servers, then to AI providers through the Vercel AI Gateway to produce an answer grounded in our news archive. Your question is also converted into a numeric embedding by an OpenAI model so we can search the archive for relevant coverage. We do not store your questions or answers on our servers. Your conversation history is saved in your own browser so the thread survives a reload.
  • Ask AI, voice (Pro). When you start a voice session and grant microphone permission, your speech streams from your browser directly to the Vercel AI Gateway and on to the AI provider that answers you. Your audio does not pass through, and is not recorded or stored on, AllIsrael.chat servers. The provider transcribes your speech so the assistant can respond, and that transcript is sent to our servers to search the archive and is embedded by an OpenAI model for that search. If you have used the text chat on the same page, the assistant may read recent messages from that conversation, from your browser, to answer follow-up questions. We record the length of each voice session to enforce your plan limits. We do not store audio or transcripts.
  • Account. Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email address. We store your email address, and any display name, handle, timezone, or appearance settings you choose, along with the articles you save to your reading list. Saved articles and preferences remain in your account if your subscription lapses, so they are still there if you return.
  • Payments. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and handles your payment details. We never see or store your card number. We store the identifier Stripe gives us, your plan, and your subscription status.
  • Advertising. If enabled, an OpenAI Ads pixel may load to measure page views and chat engagement for advertising. On the free front page we may also serve Google AdSense ads, which set advertising cookies and process your IP address and approximate location to select and measure ads. Both load only where you have consented, and neither is placed on the page for Pro subscribers, who do not see ads at all. See our Cookie Policy for the specific cookies.
  • Server logs, security, and limits. Our host (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) process standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps. We use your IP address, or your account identifier when signed in, to enforce rate limits and to detect abuse. Bot detection runs on the Ask AI endpoints.
  • Chrome extension. The toolbar extension fetches the current five headlines from allisrael.chat. It does not read your other tabs, the pages you visit, or your browsing history. It stores last-seen headline identifiers in Chrome's local extension storage so the toolbar badge can mark a lead set you have not opened yet. That storage stays on your device. The extension does not include an analytics SDK. If you click a headline, the article page on allisrael.chat may record that click the same way it records other page views, and only where you have consented to analytics.
  • Pro intel briefing emails. If you opt in under Account, we email a sitrep composed from headlines and summaries already on this wire. Cadence is off until you turn it on. We store that choice, an unsubscribe token, and a send log so we do not mail the same briefing twice. Every letter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Turning cadence off stops new letters immediately.

How we use data

We use collected data to operate the site, answer your questions, improve performance, measure audience interest, roll out features safely, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and process subscriptions. We do not sell personal information.

Who processes your data

Data may be processed by Vercel (hosting, and the AI Gateway that routes every AI request, including the live voice stream and intel briefing compose), Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (delivery of sign-in emails and optional Pro intel briefing letters), xAI (its Grok models answer Ask AI in text and voice, classify incoming news, and compose the intel sitrep), OpenAI (its models generate the embeddings used to search our archive, for both typed and spoken questions, and its realtime voice model is used as a standby if our primary voice provider is unavailable), PostHog (analytics, session recordings, and feature flags), Upstash (rate limiting), Stripe (payments), OpenAI Ads (advertising measurement when enabled), and Google AdSense (serving and measuring ads on the free site). Each provider has its own privacy terms.

Retention

Published news articles and their embeddings are retained as part of our permanent archive. Session recordings are kept for 30 days. Analytics events are kept for up to 84 months. Account data, saved articles, and preferences are kept until you ask us to delete them. Ask AI questions, answers, and voice audio are not stored on our servers, though our AI providers may retain data under their own terms.

Your choices

Analytics and session recording run only with your consent. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland they stay off until you accept; elsewhere they run unless you decline. You choose from the banner on your first visit, and clearing this site's cookies lets you choose again. See our Cookie Policy for the details. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. You may choose not to use Ask AI, and voice mode runs only after you press start and grant microphone permission. You may uninstall the Chrome extension at any time. Uninstalling removes the local last-seen headline identifiers. Pro intel briefing email is off until you opt in; every letter includes unsubscribe. To request access to your account data or its deletion, email us at the address below and we will action it.

Amazon Associates

AllIsrael.chat participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. Book links on our Recommended Reading pages, on article pages, and in Ask AI reading suggestions may be affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, AllIsrael.chat earns from qualifying purchases. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to Amazon, which applies its own privacy terms; we receive aggregate commission reporting from Amazon, not your identity or purchase history. Which book you clicked is recorded in our analytics under the same consent rules described above.
