Halloween crackdown in Tehran spreads to provinces as ban widens...

Iranian security forces and Basij paramilitary officers broke up a Halloween party in central Tehran on Friday evening. Witnesses reported that people were beaten and detained while nearby cafes were forced to close after a ban issued by the Chamber of Guilds.

Similar actions against organizers and businesses took place in the provinces of Yazd and Qazvin.
