President Trump praised former Republican congressman Mike Rogers as a “great American patriot” following a Michigan Senate debate. He described Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed as an anti-Israel “jihadist lunatic.”

Trump stated that El-Sayed hates the United States, the Black residents of Detroit, and wants America to fail.
