Arizona man charged federally for defacing Phoenix synagogue after terror-threat conviction

Kevin Charles Pyles has been charged federally for defacing a synagogue in Phoenix after previously being convicted of making terror threats. An Orthodox synagogue board member reported to the FBI that attendance at services declined following the incidents in July and August 2025.

Law enforcement is investigating the impact of these actions on the local Jewish community.
