Israel's security cabinet has given initial approval for an international force of around 200 troops to deploy in Gaza. The decision ties the force to Hamas's complete disarmament under the existing peace plan.

Israel maintains that the IDF will continue holding the Yellow Line and will not withdraw further until Hamas is fully disarmed and Gaza is demilitarized. Albania, Kazakhstan, and Kosovo are among the countries reportedly involved.
