An ancient Canaanite fortress dating to the period of the biblical Book of Judges has reopened to visitors in the Guvrin Forest in southern Israel. The site was uncovered during 2018-2019 excavations led by Israel Antiquities Authority archaeologists Dr. Saar Ganor and Dr. Itamar Weissbein.

The fortress lies in the Judean Lowlands and offers new public access to a key archaeological discovery tied to Israel's biblical era.
