The Heritage Foundation announced the hiring of Will Ruger as a distinguished fellow. Ruger, a critic of U.S. military engagement, previously served as a key deputy to former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

The conservative think tank said Ruger’s role will contribute to policy work from the perspective of a scholar-practitioner. The appointment was announced on Monday.
