Al Jazeera dismissed 24 Gaza-based staff members, including reporters, photographers and producers, without issuing a public explanation for the action.

Several of those fired had been identified by the IDF as members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad and are referenced in a US lawsuit alleging that the Qatari network aided the terrorist groups.
