New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani declined to respond to suggestions that he moderate his public criticism of Israel after an alleged hate crime stabbing of a Jewish person in Manhattan's Upper West Side.

Mamdani has continued to discuss the possibility of arresting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu despite advice from attorneys that such action would be legally untenable.
