An investigation by the Shin Bet and Israel Police found that two Israeli teenagers aged 15 and 16 from Kiryat Motzkin were recruited online by an Iranian handler through Telegram.

The teens, initially seeking summer job income, were directed to photograph shopping malls, collect security data, spray graffiti, and recruit other minors in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.
