A soldier who was abducted from Beersheba managed to free himself from his restraints while being held by Palestinian authorities in the southern Hebron area.

The soldier was subsequently returned to Israel with the help of Palestinian police, and a Palestinian intelligence worker has been arrested on charges related to the kidnapping.
