Haim Treitel, a Haredi soldier, was wounded in the leg by a Hamas sniper during combat in Gaza. After more than a year of rehabilitation, he completed the IDF officers' course.

Treitel overcame his injuries sustained in Gaza fighting to achieve officer rank in the Israeli military.
