JINSA President and CEO Michael Makovsky stated that the Iranian regime is nearing an interim deal with Oman and the United States for a new security model in the Strait of Hormuz.

Makovsky warned that history shows Iran will almost certainly violate the proposed agreement, weakening U.S. deterrence against China and Russia.
