Israeli marathoner Gashau Ayale won gold as part of Israel’s team and earned an individual bronze medal at the European Athletics Championship.

The Israeli team also included Tadesse Getahon, Haimro Alame, Yitayew Abuhay, Maru Teferi, and Bukayawe Malede.
