Rabbi Moshe Wiener, the executive director of the Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island, remarked on the importance of respecting New York City Mayor Mamdani's efforts for the city.

He shared his decision to inform the mayor about the social service initiatives of his agency during an event attended by Mamdani.
