Syrian president: No interest in conflict with Israel, wants security arrangement...

Syria's interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa stated in an interview that his country is not seeking confrontation with Israel and is working toward a security arrangement.

Speaking to Qatar's Al Jazeera, the former Islamist terrorist expressed hope that such a deal with Israel could lead to a broader peace proposal involving Lebanon as well.
