Iran has appointed Mohsen Rezaei, a suspect in the 1994 AMIA bombing, to its National Security Council.

Argentina’s federal judiciary ordered in absentia trials in June 2025 for Rezaei and nine other Iranian and Lebanese suspects over the attack on the Buenos Aires Jewish community center that killed 85 people.
