US President Donald Trump warned Iran that it will pay many times over for each American soldier killed in Iranian attacks. The directive was issued to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Joint Chiefs Chairman Daniel Caine, and other military leaders.

The statement followed deaths of US servicemembers attributed to Iranian actions.
