Israeli singer Yehuda Poliker was awakened by police in the middle of the night to speak with a man in Tel Aviv threatening to jump. The man had told authorities that only Poliker could persuade him not to take his life.

Poliker's conversation with the individual succeeded in preventing the suicide attempt.
