The Shin Bet and Israel Police Northern District arrested 29-year-old Israeli citizen Mohammed Awad from Nazareth on suspicion of advancing terrorist activity.

Awad contacted Hamas to join the organization and obtain resources for attacks, and investigators allege he planned to target a serving Israeli cabinet minister.
