Mohamed Abdou, a former Columbia University professor who identifies as a “Muslim anarchist,” is scheduled to address students virtually at UC Berkeley as part of his “Death to the Akademy” tour. The event is set to take place on the eve of the Oct. 7 anniversary.

Abdou has previously stated that he was “with Hamas.” The appearance highlights ongoing campus controversies involving expressions of support for Hamas after the October 7 attacks.
