Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said one pilot on a flydubai flight to Tel Aviv stabbed the other and tried to crash the plane. Passengers and crew stopped the attacker. The aircraft landed at Tabuk.

The stabbing pilot is under Saudi interrogation. Passengers later returned to Ben Gurion. Defense Minister Israel Katz called it an attempted jihadist attack.
