Lindy Li, a former Democratic National Committee official, claims in her new book that Kamala Harris held private calls with top donors days before Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 race.

In those calls Harris reportedly told donors Biden would stay in the race while simultaneously positioning herself as his replacement.
