A recent investigation by the Council for Higher Education in Israel evaluated the necessity of segregated gender learning for a master's program in therapeutic studies and concluded that mixed-gender education is essential and valued by the target demographic. Senior officials from the council and the Ministry of Education allege that Education Minister Yoav Kisch repeatedly postponed discussions of the findings, claiming they do not align with his agenda.

Kisch has denied any involvement or manipulation regarding the study.
