Philanthropist "I Met With President Erdoğan Before October 7th... Then This Happened"...
Peruvian-born Jewish activist and philanthropist Millie Magid discussed her meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan weeks before October 7 and with the Pope. She described how her encounters with diplomats, including bringing a Ugandan ambassador to Israel, shifted their views on the Jewish state.
Magid explained her and her husband’s response to the October 7 attacks and stressed that education and direct visits to Israel are more effective than slogans in combating antisemitism. She recounted challenging diplomats at the United Nations and promoting firsthand experiences of Israel.
