Serbian police killed a minor armed with two knives after he attacked an elite-unit officer guarding the Israeli Embassy in Belgrade. Authorities raised the national terror threat to the highest level in response.

The incident occurred days after Serbia’s early parliamentary election and on the same day as Israel’s national vote.
