The UAE attorney general confirmed that an Omani co-pilot for Flydubai planned to crash his aircraft into Ben Gurion Airport to maximize casualties. The suspect had conducted two earlier flights to scout the target.

Radicalized in Australia in 2017 and inspired by the 9/11 attacks, the co-pilot allegedly assaulted the captain during the planned operation.
