From King Solomon’s golden cat to the Royal House of Kanaani: Reviving an ancient Jewish tradition...

A Brooklyn rabbi and animal chaplain is connecting Jewish sacred literature with efforts to preserve Israel’s rare Kanaani cat breed. The work references traditions linking the cats to King Solomon and the Royal House of Kanaani.

The initiative seeks to revive an ancient Jewish tradition through the breed’s conservation in Israel.
