The IDF carried out a strike that eliminated Hamas commander Abd al-Rahim Kardi. Kardi had worked as a doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital and participated in the October 7 attacks.

He was also involved in holding Israeli hostages Romi Gonen and Noa Marciano.
