Ziv Attar developed camera technology during his time at Rafael and later founded a startup that Apple acquired in 2015. The technology was used in the iPhone Portrait Mode feature.

His second company, Glass Imaging, applies AI to enable smaller cameras to produce higher-quality images. This work contributed to a $300 million exit involving OpenAI.
