Former Hamas hostage Sagui Dekel-Chen performed nine songs he composed mentally during 498 days of captivity at a stage event in Nir Oz last week.

Culture editor Jessica Steinberg, who attended the performance, discussed creative efforts by former hostages on The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing podcast.
