Iran has launched repeated strikes on Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates after the collapse of a memorandum of understanding with Washington and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The United States has responded with its own military actions in the region.

Israel has so far declined to join the direct exchanges between the U.S. and Iran.
