An IDF soldier was severely injured by gunfire at a military base in central Israel on Tuesday evening.

The soldier was evacuated to a hospital for treatment and his family was notified. The Military Police Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation whose findings will be reviewed by the Military Advocate General's Corps.
