Alon Ohel, a freed Israeli hostage held by Hamas for 738 days, performed the song "Superman" aboard the USS Nimitz during America's 250th Independence Day celebrations.

Invited by American singer John Ondrasik, Ohel appeared before senior US military officials and the US Ambassador to the UN as part of the event highlighting Israel-US ties.
