Defense Minister Israel Katz announced during a live interview on Channel 14 that he is appointing Maj. Gen. Dado Bar Kalifa as the new head of Central Command.

Bar Kalifa will replace the current commander, Avi Bluth, in the role overseeing IDF operations in the West Bank.
