One hundred eleven House Democrats urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to remove a fence erected by residents of the Israeli community of Carmel. The lawmakers argued the barrier prevents children from the nearby Palestinian village of Umm Al-Kheir from reaching school.

Israeli officials responded that a safe alternative route to school remains available for the children.
