New York City authorities have charged a Bronx man with hate crimes for attacking a woman and a security guard during Shabbat services at Central Synagogue in Manhattan.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch described the incident as part of a wave of antisemitic attacks targeting the largest Jewish community outside Israel.
