Abdul El-Sayed, left-wing Michigan Senate nominee, has an imam who performed an absentee funeral prayer for slain Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The prayer hailed Haniyeh as a heroic martyr and symbol of jihad.

It described him as a righteous man who sought to liberate Palestine and nothing more.
