Menin, Levine call for ‘focus’ on Oct. 7 victims — but don’t condemn Mamdani...

New York City Council Speaker Julie Menin and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams declined to condemn Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s remarks on the third anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks during a rally supporting a memorial to the victims.

Other local Democrats criticized Mamdani at the event while the two Jewish officials urged focus on the victims instead.
