A US State Department spokesman told Al Jazeera that Hezbollah is the main obstacle to Lebanon's economic reconstruction and growth.

The spokesman said the group bears sole responsibility for the Israeli presence in Lebanon and called for continued steps by the Lebanese army to achieve peace.
