Isaac and Jessica Thangjom made aliyah from Manipur to Israel in 2008. They began by cleaning houses before securing work in their fields and later founded Degel Menashe in November 2019.

The organization has awarded more than 100 scholarships to over 60 B’nei Menashe individuals. The couple now lobbies for a fairer aliyah process as Operation Wings of Dawn brings additional community members to Israel in stages.
