Salman Rushdie attacker convicted on terrorism charges...

Hadi Matar was convicted on terrorism charges for the 2022 stabbing attack on author Salman Rushdie. Prosecutors said Matar researched Iran's fatwa against Rushdie for more than a year before carrying out the assault.

The attack was executed in support of Hezbollah, according to evidence presented at trial.
