The IDF released new intelligence showing that individuals previously portrayed as Palestinian footballers were active Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad commanders, anti-tank operatives, and October 7 infiltrators.

Those identified include Mohammad Barakat and Mohammad Mansour, who infiltrated Israel on October 7; Mahmoud Al-Rifi, a company commander in Hamas's aerial unit; and Mohammad Khatab, a FIFA referee and PIJ operative.
