The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced the killing of Mohammad Fathi Abd al-Hay Abu Fakher, who was the commander of Hamas' Yibna Battalion in Rafah.

The IDF accused him of rebuilding the military unit and overseeing a weapons smuggling network for Hamas.
