An Omani co-pilot on Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv stabbed the Emirati captain in an apparent attempt to crash the plane carrying more than 100 Israeli passengers. The aircraft transmitted emergency codes, lost altitude rapidly, and diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Israeli passengers and crew helped subdue the attacker. All passengers remained safe while Israel scrambled fighter jets to monitor the situation.
