Hamas has entered into discussions with Mohammed Dahlan, a former senior Fatah figure, in preparation for the upcoming Palestinian legislative elections.

The vote is planned for November 28, 2026, and would be the first Palestinian legislative election held in twenty years since Hamas assumed control of the Gaza Strip.
