Aviva and Keith Siegel, kidnapped together from Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7, 2023, described in a Daily Mail interview the sexual assaults and severe beatings inflicted on female hostages by Hamas captors.

Aviva recounted seeing women return from assaults appearing badly injured, with hostages at times expressing a desire to die during their captivity.
