Michael Katz, 82, who worked for decades at Rafael and received an award, died from wounds sustained in an Iranian missile strike on Haifa during Operation Lion's Roar. He fought for his life for three months after the attack.

His wife suffered light injuries in the same incident and stated that her life was shattered by the missile. A week after the strike, Katz's granddaughter, who served in rescue operations, found a photograph of him among the rubble.
