EXCLUSIVE: German general honored for helping restore identities of fallen Jewish soldiers...

German general Dirk Backen was honored for his efforts to identify and restore the graves of fallen Jewish soldiers from World War II. He helped return the remains of one Jewish American soldier and has worked to correct cases where German Jewish soldiers were mistakenly buried under crosses.

Operation Benjamin co-founder Shalom Lamm called Backen one of the righteous gentiles of the world for these actions.
